Default Tranny Solenoids

Anyone have an idea why the Transmission would click intermittently, and continuously while the key is in the "On" position?

Well, I've replaced both solenoids, the winter/summer switch, and a previous mechanic said that he checked the PNP Switch, yet it still won't get out of limp home mode. The code I got seemed to be 1-2-1, but was hard to determine since the light was actually blinking very erratically. Mr Tech, should I try to replace the PNP, anyway. Also, would my intermittent no start mode be caused by the PNP, since it seems to help to run through the gears really quickly with the car off, and try from Neutral. I really could use some expertise here, cause I'm a former VW Jetta GLI guy, and this 850's got me at my wits end! Thanks for your help!

Yes I would try a new PNP switch. It will cause it to not start.

OK -- I'll now order the switch with confidence! I will say that after the solenoids, it does shift better once I get up to the higher gears, but now I gotta get first!

Thanks again for your help!
