Default Trunk Shock Question

And my question is... how do you get the new shock to "seat" on the crossbar at the back of the trunk? After much fighting with a prybar, I was able to remove the old shock from the mount at the back of the trunk, but for the life of me, I can't get the new shock to seat property.

Is there some trick? Am I not holding my tongue just right? [8D]

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Yes they are a major pain. You have to press down really hard but be careful not to bend the new one. You can also remove the side bolster next to the rear seat and reach in and pull down from there.

Thanks Tech. I'll keep trying! and if I get a long enough moment, I'll try the removing seat bolster method.
