hi, just wondered if I can use larger tyres on my 1995 850 turbo. The roads are pretty bad where I live — lots of potholes, and I thought larger tyres might help... but I don't know if the front wheels would clear the wheel arches on full lock? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

 

I don't know if you'd want to go much larger than 55s, I know my 55s rubbed pretty good at full lock.

 

Depends on what size rim you are running. What are you running? Gilber33 is refering to 16" rims.

If you look in your fuel door there should be a sticker with recommended tire sizes. Also websites like TireRack.com let you play with tire sizes.

 

I'm running 205/55/16 on mine, and i definitely wouldnt want to go any taller.

 

Thanks for the info and advice — my 850 has 15" rims so I guess going to 55 will be fine :-)

 

Volvo 15's are 195/60 from the factory - I believe...
