Default Vacuum Line?

I'm in the process of replacing the alternator on my '97 850 and I noticed a vacuum line hanging free on the passenger side of the intake manifold. I can't seem to figure out what it's supposed to be connected to.

Thanks in advance,

ES6T is right, plug the unplugged one into the side of the intake manifold where the other one is plugged in, then take pictures of the other one.

Originally it was plugged onto the intake manifold where the other vacuum line is plugged in. Its possible that a previous owner replaced this line with the newer one shown in the picture. So I would trace the vacuum line that is plugged in now and see if it goes over to the PTC. If it does the one that is hanging off is just left overs.

I apologize for the late reply to your question, but I don'tknow what the thing is called that the line is connected to. We'll just sayit's near the throttle body.

On mine it runs from the end of the manifold over to the turbos intake tube and connects to the PTC valve.
