I put together a picture video on "How to remove and lube the blower motor fan on a Volvo 850". Hope it's useful to someone.

you rock brother. mine on the passenger side makes a whining sound when making a turn with the fan on. does that mean l need to lube it? what will happen if l dont lube it?thanks

If the fan is making noise, and it needs lubed, it will likely die sooner than later.
