Default Volvo 850 Cranks But Won't Start

Hi guys, I'm in need of some help. I bought a '93 Volvo 850 MANUAL with about 100k on it. It sat at my house and I started it every once in a while. I noticed that sometimes it would crank longer and longer before it caught. Now it will crank and not start or even fart.

I have fuel.

I have a 1-2-2 code but my MAF was unplugged. Nothing else besides the 1-1-1.

The coil is good as it worked on my other 850.

I installed a new Meyle cam sensor.

I installed new Volvo plugs, good volvo wires, new bosch cap and rotor.

I tried cranking for a long time with the pedal to the floor and nothing.

Where should I look next?!

I double checked the cam sensor by swapping it into my '95 850 and it worked fine.

It still started right before my replacing of plugs, cap, and rotor and then just cranked after. Coincidence? Could I have installed something wrong or out of place that would cause this as well?

Well I put it all back together and now it starts and runs. I had the same order written down so either I put it on wrong or something else was the problem.

I now have what sounds like a very loud lifter. I put some marvel mystery oil in. Any other ways of loosening it?

Seafoam is good, I think Lucas is better but it's a matter of what the cause is. Seafoam might do a better job of cleaning or unsticking it if that is the cause as it's thinner where Lucas is thicker but it's a great cleaner too.

Maybe there was some moisture on the cap?
As long as it works..although its always cool to know the solution.

I am, in my 850, in the nasty noise recognition mode, im getting there checking things off. Are you sure it is a lifter?

My 850 has been a very, very, very reliable car since 94, I was fixing the ac and that was easy, but found oil in the coolant reservoir thanks to a faulty trans cooler in the radiator, and that is what has actually made me sweat it.. oh well..
