Not sure how many of you have read this but it is great to know with rising petrol prices you might perhaps convert to CNG:

There's someone in Calgary trying to sell such a car. I've been watching it and contemplating it, but the price seems high for the car.

There was a website in Brazil that had a conversion kit for the 850 - it only cost USD $1,200 including the tank but the tank takes up the entire trunk and it is heavy. The cool part was that you could switch fuel on the fly back to gasoline which eliminated my big objection - the limited range on CNG. My cabin is 150 miles from my city house and I have no natural gas service at the cabin which is about the range limit with the CNG. The conversion looked very easy - it was a plate that clamped onto the throttle body and a box that tricked the ECU from the O-2 sensors.

The killer is the cost of the compressor and it takes all night to re-fuel 1 car - with a fleet of 5 cars that doesn't work at my house. I would love to cheat the state and the feds out of the road tax on gasoline but thus far the numbers don't add up.
