Lightbulb Volvo 850, S70, V70 Front Wheel Bearing Replacement - Video

Over the past 5,000 miles or so I have heard my front right wheel bearing making a little noise. It hasn't gotten much worse but it's best to replace them before they come apart or tear something else up. I have a 1995 Volvo 850.

I used a OEM Volvo bearing (so I was told) which I purchased from eBay. I have read that a company named *** makes bearings for Volvo. They also make the bearings for Timken. Anywho, I would like to think I have a bearing that will last another 227,800+ miles, that's why I went with Volvo. Unfortunately I have read that someone had an OEM bearing go out on them in less than 15,000 miles. We'll see (I plan on driving this car for some time).

Good info, thanks very much!

Do you think the hubs are OEM Volvo? I was thinking about grabbing a set off eBay since the price is good. But, if it's questionable, perhaps I'll wait til I need them.

Wait till you need them. They may never go bad (wishful thinking).

I'm just use to everything having Volvo stamped in it, these did not. My buddy said that they likely are, he has picked up some from Volvo that were not stamped. They did come in the Volvo box.

I'm about to take a long road trip so I went ahead and changed it. Didn't want it getting worse on me on the road. I've put over 5k on the car in the past 40 days, and plan to add 4k more in the next 18 days. I'm going to lube the cabin fan tomorrow. I guess I'll video that as well.

Hope you do that driveshaft and brake line before you do excessive driving, my friend. Especially that brake line.

Lol, I have 3 others. I'm on a 4,000 mile road trip now. Does that count as excessive?
