Default Volvo 850 Suspension Sway

Just installed front suspension kit including new control arms / ball joints / struts / strut mounts / rebuilt rack & pinion / anti sway links / tie rod ends / rear struts & dampers . Also 4 new tires with alignment. Problem: Car feels like it is "surfing" at highway speeds 45 mph & above. Pitches & rolls out as well. The anti sway bar bushings look ok on visual but I did not replace.

Default Rear Suspension Delta - End Links Volvo 850

I received a reply on another Volvo site and believe my issue is due to the fact that I replaced all the front suspension components but only the rear shocks / bumper stops. The trailing arm links are probably as worn out at 145,000 miles as the front suspension was causing an alignment issue and I am waiting on rear end link parts from FCP Groton so I can take back to the alignment shop after I replace the worn rear components.

This sounds like a very good reason for your issue. I know I need to do the rear suspension on my volvo 850 also. Need to track down an oil leak first.

Is your car a Wagon?
If so does it have a rear sway bar?

Ok it is still kind of weird it sways so much.
But again I have not come across any of the rear bushings bad as of yet.
