Recently after purchasing my 1994 Volvo 850 T5 Automatic. The engine will Kinda vibrate or studder when i apply Full Throttle or at least half way. Sometimes when i floor it Slowly it will CUT off then regain it self in a split second like its hesitating but keeps going.. now if i feather the throttle its fine...(most of the time when im going down or up a hill it will do the same thing, Even when im featherin the throttle) some other forums ive been reading said something about the camshaft position sensor... not sure though.. only things ive replaced so far are the alternator and the spark plugs... had the problem before i installed them... Any clues?(kinda new to volvo's sorry)

 

How old is the Dist cap,rotor and wires?
If they are OEM they will have a date stamped on them.
It sounds like it is misfiring.

 

There all Factory still, i will replace them Thursday.. Oh and is there a specific brand i should pick up? should i continue to use the bosch parts. or would the Advanced autoparts BWD or Nieoff work? thanks for the help again.

 

Bosch cap,rotor and go Bioucord wires.

 

If the cap and wires are original, I would definitely replace them as Tech suggested. Actually, I would do a full tune up, especially replacing the fuel and air filters
