volvo eating oil
[hr]Hi
I have a 1995 bmw 850 turbo wagon. I've had the car since it was new and its been a great car. Recently though it's been consuming a lot of oil and i've noticed that theres a noise that sounds like a piston is hitting the roof of the hood. Also, when the car is in park, a burning rubber smell appears. The car only has 135000 miles on it so I don't want to deem the car dead so what can I do to remedy these problems.

Hello..
Most older Volvos are prone to eat up some oil...I have a 97 Volvo 850 Station Wagon and it eats a lil bit of oil, my pops is a car mechanic and he says that a lot of older Volvos due that. Now if your car is losing a lot of oil a weekthen maybe you should take it to a servicing center to check it out. I hope this helps
