I believe the cover is held in by the force of the spring-loaded end caps pushing against the cargo interior panels. Here are a few pics.
Here's the broker right cap. There is suppose to be a plastic piece in the center.

Admittedly this post is a year and half late...
There needs to be 2 holes drilled into each side of the cargo area so those rubber feet will pop into them. When bought new the cover came with a pair of plastic templates to show you where to drill.
You also need to remove the two caps at the tailgate so that the the pins on the cover can pop into the holes that removing these caps reveal.
I'm surprised that in over a year and 650 hits that no one bothered to bring this up. That thing must pop off everytime you try and use it.
