Default Warning light? & Drive ? Thanks!

Greetings: est. 300,000 mikes, well maintained, turbo,

A. On the dash, the outside temp is reading "LO"
What does that mean? I was on a very long trip and almost the entire
way the correct temp was displayed. Nothing in owners manual re. this.

B. After driving about 500 miles, there were noticeable 'jerking'
episodes: When accelerating, there would be a jolt in the
drive or transmission. The car would just jerk forward..I was going
65 mph. There is obviously something wrong...

Thanks!!!

sounds like the "lo" indicator is probably the outside temp sensor has quit working. As for the acceleration jerkiness, im guessing thats another unrelated problem.

Opps: 850 '97 Wagon GLT

A. Where is the sensor located for outside temp? I will check it out. Could be full of dirt/dust.

B. The 'Jolt' is a jerking acceleration. Feels like something in the
drive train (id there is one?) missed a rotation, then it 'caught' itself and
jerked forward.
