when the turbo kicks on?? I've never had a turbo until now so I'm not sure what it should sound like. My 850 Turbo goes like a bat out of hell, but it doesn't sound any different that a car with regular overdrive. Is it possible mine doesn't work?

 

It depends on the car I guess. We have a 850 where you can hear a soft whistle/whine when the turbo kicks in, while others say they hear nothing. If t he car runs fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Even though it is next to useless, does the dashboard turbo gauge move when you get on it? If so, then the turbo is working as advertised

 

Open your window and push it at low speeds (so there isn't a lot of wind). You might be able to hear a sucking sound which is the turbo sucking in air. They're small turbos though, so it may be hard to hear.
