What size Punch for Rear Brake Pad Replacement Volvo 850?
Simple question,
The punch you guys use to change out the brake pads on the 850, is this just a regular punch you buy at an auto parts store? Small size? I just want to make sure I have everything before I start the job...
Thanks for your time...
Here is a link that has the punch on it...

I use one of the smallest punches I have but you can use anything that fits, since not much force should be required to punch the pins out.

I just use a punch that I use to countersink nails in wood. I have used a nail also. It doesn't take much at all to get them out.
I used a blunt ice pick that was laying around in the shop. going to a store and buying a hole punch is a bit much. YOu can probably find something comparable to what everyone has posted at a pawn shop for about $1...
If all else fails, see attached pic. This should drive the pins out no problem. Observe local regulations & contact EPA for approval before usage.
