I know where it came from - the passenger side control arm. But what does this plastic piece actually do? Am I in trouble?

 

Its a fish from the bottom of the depths of the sea.


Actually its a nylon stop on the control arm that stops the wheel when your going lock to lock. Look at it this way, you can turn sharper now. You can put it back on (with a washer) and a rivet gun. It might stay, might not (its cracked).

 

Looks like a job for duct tape to me.
