Where is the EGR Valve?
Please, tell me where the EGR valve is on the volvo 850 non turbo. I have a check engine code for low egr flow...I found the solenoid I believe by the fan where a yellow/purple line run from it...thanks for your help...
it's under the throttle body, correct me if i'm wrong but i think you can still get to it without taking off the intake manifold. i don't remember exactly, but i took mine off and cleaned it while i replaced my pcv system
hope this helps

It depends on the year of the car. On the earlier models it is located just behind the throttle body on the bottom of the intake manifold. My son had a P0400 EGR flow problem and the hole in the manifold was completely clogged.
It is a bear to remove the valve but you will need a short8mm socket to do it - most ratchets will bottom out before the bolt is out and it is hand cramping finger turning from there. The flare nut from the exhaust manifolduses a 22 mm wrench. Loosen that nut before trying to remove the valve itself. On the later models the valve is located back on the exhaust manifoldbut I have no experience there. One of my 850s has no EGR and the one that does is an earlier model that is as I described.
