Default Whining when turning left

My 850R (96) has for the last 6 months developed a whine when turning left.

It only happens when turning left and the volume is dependant on where the heater fan gauge is set. If the heater fan is off there's very little sound, when it's high it's louder.

My local specialist can't find any problems.

Has anyone out there got an idea what the problem might be?

That is very weird I think it might be a bad blower motor. The bearing might be bad and when you turn the corner the cage might be rubbing the case.

My car does the same thing with right turns! I never gave it much thought. It doesn't do it consistently, but on really cold days when the heater's blasting it will definitely make an appearance.

A suggegstion is to pull the fuse (or disconnect) the heater motor, then go for a drive and see what happens.
