I started having some vibration and a bit of a thumping sound the other day and while inspecting around, I found it was coming from where the timing/accessory belt is. I wasn’t sure if it was the balancer or something else so I took the belt off and ran it for just a minute to isolate if it was the harmonic balancer, and the sound was still there.
Inspected the pulley and saw the rubber had a few cracks, so I’m suspicious of this. If I could get someone’s opinion on the balancer in the if that looks out of line, I’d appreciate it.
