Okay, I'm looking at used 850 wagons, 5 speeds. I've found 3 or 4 that fit the bill, ranging from 95 - 97. The 95 has about 140k, the 97's have 180 - 190K. All things being equal, what is the better way to go, less miles or newer? Thanks for any input!

Buy the one that has the best maintenance records. If they're still equal, buy the one with the most recent timing belt change.

 

If would agree with VTBricked. The maintains being do on time is much more improtant then the year or mileage. I personally like the 850s better then the S/V70 so I would go with the 95. Also, you can check your own codes on the 95 and older models from under the hood.
