c30 braking noise
Hi there,
I'm a first time Volvo owner, first time poster on this forum. Hope someone can shed some light on my issue. I own a 2012 Volvo C30 T5 with roughly 22 thousand miles on it. It seems as of late there is this squeaking sound coming from the brakes & don't know why it's happening.
I've been to the dealership twice, since my car is still under warranty. They've cleaned and greased the front brakes & then (the second trip) the back brakes. The noise goes away for a few weeks, then comes back again. (mostly in the morning and on really cold days) No grinding - just this embarassing squeak.
The dealership told me the brakes aren't in need of replacing, but are rather in good shape and that it's a road issue. The road I drive a majority of the time (Garden State Parkway) has been going through major road construction. There's broken roadway every where and the pot holes are the size of a small child.
I'm a first time Volvo owner, but with the cars in the past, once it starts squeaking, that's the cars way of telling me it's time for brakes. Why would I have a noise at 22k miles though? Is this typical for Volvo?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
