C30 D5 - can't get fuel in it
Hi
We've just bought a 2007 C30 D5. What a great little car. The only problem is that when I try to put diesel in it the pump cuts out all the time - as though it's already full. Is there a breather that gets blocked - or maybe a filter on a breather somewhere that needs cleaning or replacing?

I have the same problem with my 2.0D 2010 C30, I have to squeeze the fule tap really lightly so it just dribbles out. It might just be a design floor in the tanks, as I’ve heard others complain about it. Have you had it looked into?
Hi. No - still have the problem. I did have a mate poke about underneath but he couldn't see anything that might be causing it. But I can't believe that they're supposed to be like this. Filling it up takes an age - really frustrating. I was pretty certain someone on here would have known what causes it but so far I've drawn a blank.
As far as I'm aware the charcoal canister is a thing petrol engined cars have as petrol evapourates - the charcoal absorbs the evapourating petrol. As diesel doesn't evapourate I don't think diesel cars have one. I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong though.
