New C30
Hi All,
Today I traded in my '98 M Roadster for a 2013 C30 R-Design with the 6-speed manual. I have always liked hatchbacks and I have really liked the C30 since the first day I was behind one.
I love the car so far (maybe 50 miles of driving today, some highway, some city) but it shifts so much different than my M...it is quite an adjustment. The main difference is how slowly the RPMs fall off when I disengage the clutch. On the M, even with the A/C off, the RPMs would fall very quickly, making quick shifts near redline pretty smooth. On this thing I'm jerking it around like a bad dog. The only way I can shift smoothly through the low gears when I really get on the throttle is to leave the clutch in for almost a whole second.
My M had 180K miles on it and I was still on the factory clutch, so maybe this is just a 'new Volvo clutch' thing. Or maybe its all me
Can you guys offer some advice?
