Default NEW Member Question on jack points

Hello: I'm Canadian and have owned a C30 T5 since last May - fantastically fun car! I'm about to do my first service on my hoist and wonder if anyone on this forum knows the proper location for the jack points.

My C30 T5, with body kit isinside the garage now and want to confirm the jack points using my 2-post asymmetric hoist. It's a Ravaglioli KPN 345 AM - 345 AT model. The round pads are about 6" (15 cm) in diameter and I don't think they will clear the body kit and rest on the service manual jack points. Can anyone recommend the proper jack points for a hoist and clear up my problem, before I wreck something?

Default RE: NEW Member Question on jack points

I had to improvise by adding a solid rubber block at each jack point to clear the body kit cut-out, suitable only for the scissors jack. Also, I found the oil filter is inside the engine compartment and is somewhat hidden by the cold air intake. This is quite different from other 5 ctlinder Volvo engines. Live and learn! You should be able to cut a block of wood to fit (like the rubber did) and it will give you a little more height and allow you to use a proper floor jack vs. the factory scissor.

I think that you are the only C30 owner here. [8D]
