Default Please help im giving up

Hi everyone i recently purchased a volvo c30 2.0 diesel 2007

Been having a nightmare with this car..was sold to me by a dodgy dealer and now im at a loss as he has dissapeard.so i decided to have a go at fixing it. It had a cracked expansion tank..orange crap in it..broken drive shaft..along with leaking injectors a cable tie across the 1st one.

So i drained the coolent. And pushed the crap through replaced with a new expansion and oil change new drive shaft. New oil cooler..cleaned out egr and inlet u know the usual stuff...then the car struggled to start and still leaking out from injectors...not sure what me and a mate did but i began to start and ran ok so i drove to see how it was going..it was lacking alot of power..mrs 1.6 mini felt like a ferrari in comparsion..how ever it was running
so after that i left it for a day went back and now it wont start..sounds horrible when its trying to clunky..and it only manages to stay started for a few seconds when my foot is fully pressed on accelerator..then dies..im pulling my hair out..batterys starting to die have to keep putting mrs car to it to get some life...i have these fault codes.. im litrally gonna scrap or sell for parts if i cant fix it..just dont understand how it starts one day and runs ok then next it sounds like a clunky tractor and wont start

Given you own a diesel, you may be better off posting on the UK forum - at any rate, here's an interesting thread on the P1412.

The P0101 points to the MAF signal to the ECU. Start by inspecting hoses/ check for air leaks, consider cleaning the MAF (use MAF cleaner not carb cleaner).

P0101 Common Problems

* Large vacuum leaks, split Intake Air Boot or PCV Hose, defective intake manifold gaskets
* Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF)
* Mass Air Flow Sensor circuit and or wiring problems
* Defective Barometric Pressure Sensor
* Dirty or contaminated Mass Air Flow Sensing wire or filament
* PCM software needs to be updated
