Hi all, is anyone else experiencing vibration at idle. Whether the ac is on or off, or whether it's in drive, reverse, or neutral, my C30 vibrates at idle. I feel it mostly in the steering wheel and brake pedal and sometimes the seat. She's only got 10,000 miles on her. Any thoughts?

 

Take it to your dealership for an inspection, but keep in mind that the 5 cylinder engine that is in your vehicle is a great engine but not very balanced and tends to vibrate more than most.

 

Thanks. I've already been to the dealer about another issue: not so good fuel economy. They basically told me that if no check engine lights are on they can't do anything. I lost faith in them. I will, however, be taking my C30 to an independent master Volvo mechanic for his opinion. We'll see . . .

Well, I no longer own the C30. I traded her in for a Lexus CT200h. The Lexus shuts down when stopped at a light or stop sign. No more vibration problem to deal with!!! And, getting awesome mileage. After going back to the Volvo dealer, they said there was nothing they could do but replace the engine mounts. My Volvo was only 1 year old at the time. I don't think the mounts could have deteriorated in only one year. Good luck with your C30.
