Volvo C30 parasitic battery drain
My C30 wouldn't start recently - flat battery! So I charged it, all OK till the next day - flat battery again. So I bought a new battery and the same thing happened the next day - flat battery.
I used a digital multimeter to check the fuses and found that fuse no.5 in the engine compartment was drawing over 19 amps. I removed the fuse and the multimeter showed a normal draw of about 0.4 amps.
OK. Now I know which system is causing the parasitic battery drain. Fuse no.5 is specified as 'Climate control element, additional heater PTC (option)'.
What do I do now? Any suggestions?
