08 c70 low beam bulbs
anyone change out the factory bulbs for brighter ones? my stock headlights are rather weak. high beams are decent. and the fogs are actually quite bright too.
i ordered some h7 silverstars but damn, it seems you need tiny hands to get into the cavity and i can't seem to figure out how to pull out the bulb?! do you just keep pulling back? i feel like i'm going to damage the housing if i pull any harder -- or is there a twist needed to disengage first?
feel silly bringing it into a garage for something that should be so simple...

I just replaced mine with the Silverstars also, the low beam housind twists counter clockwise to remove, and the high beams are a snap like housing, (kind of like a remote control battery compartment) It take a little effort but grab some light and you should be able see what is going on without doing any damage.

thanks rev1 for the info! saved me $20 the mechanic would've charged to put them in...
i had to go to the hardware store for a torx 25 screwdriver to move the driver side wiper fluid nozzle out of the way, though.
man, for those who plan to do this, it's definitely doable but a pain in the *** if you have larger hands (i'm size 9.5 gloves)! what should've been a 5 minutes job took like 30 minutes as i twisted and turned trying to maneuver my fingers/hands in the tiny space while not dropping or contaminating the bulb! i ended up snapping one of the little catches on the sides of the low beam harness that secure the bulb -- 1 catch seems to be enough though.
the stock high beams seem plenty bright so i may just leave well enough alone with those.
the new bulbs are definitely brighter -- a great, practical upgrade.
only problem is and it's more noticeable now with the brighter light output, but my passenger side low beams shines a noticeable bit lower than the driver side. is there an adjustment **** to aim the beam higher?
