I picked up a 1999 C70 2.4 last week and although there are a few little problems it's running well (should be giving it a full service and making a few minor repairs next week).
On a 300 mile run yesterday the aerial suddenly retracted and the stereo lost all sound. Headunit appears to work so my guess is the amp.
Checked the fuse box in the front, all amp/stereo related fuses appear OK though #15 (i think) has melted the fuse casing though the connection is still solid.
Off top of my head I believe this handles interior lighting etc. I don't know the state of the fuse when I bought the car as this is the first time I've looked.
I have also checked the two fuses mounted above the amp in the rear, both are fine.

Anything further I could check would be appreciated, i'm guessing a circuit problem at the rear 3/4 as it's knocked out both amp and aerial.

there appears to be no current from the HU - amp cable (am I correct in thinking it provides power through the middle of the 6 connections within that cable?).
Does the SC901 HU have an internal fuse for that circuit and if so how is it accesed?

Also when I pull out the amp cable from the HU the aerial raises, then drops again when I reconnect

 

Turned out to be the amp cable, I have music again
