First off, I'm new to the site and want to first say hello to everyone and thanks for your help and advice in advance. I have a 99 C70 and I ended up overheating my engine when my radiator leaked and cracking the header on the engine. Everything on the car is in working order except the cracked header from the overheat. I was told I need to replace the engine since there's no telling what damage was done to the engine when my radiator gave out. I found a Volvo salvage mechanic that will replace my engine and install for $2000 but the catch is it's not a 99 but a 2000 model. My question is, can you replace a 99 engine with a 2000 model without issue or is this guy taking advantage of me. By the way this is a 2.4 turbo vin number 56.
