1st gen c70 convertible front A pillar removal method
#2
Hi,
Just had to fit a new one of these as mine was falling away, someone managed to snap the plastic retainers/blade etc.
Anyway, the way the new was fitted is that the roof has to be down, and the rubber seals at the top of the pillar need to be pulled out of the plastic pillar, this should then give access to a star/torx head screw, undo this which should loosen it a lot, their are also 2 plastic expanding snap fittings into the metal pillar (mine where completely crushed) this may be difficult to pull away so be careful, the bottom of the plastic trim sits inside the dash end.
Fitting back should be reverse, although I think we located the bottom into the dash, loose screw fixed the top then thumped the plastic retainers in (without crushing them) tightened screw and refitted roof seals.
Had to pay £87 for a new plastic pillar trim.
Hope this helps, why do you need to remove it?

Hi yes that is the general guideline.
So in terms of screws holding it there is only 1 t25? on the top near the rubber seal that goes from driver to passenger or some other rubber seal?
About where do you use a plastic pryer to pry out the A pillar? we don't need to mess around with the dash right?
My is broken where the convertible clip meets the plastic part.
