Anybody had any luck with putting on 20's? I know it will ride rough. I am looking for summer rims and tires for my 2000 C70 and I came accross a hell of a deal on CL.

Stock tire size is 225/45 r17
so the correct size for a 20" rim would be 225/30 r20

I found a set of 20"x8" rims with 225/35 r20 tires pretty cheap, little bit larger than overall stock diameter, so speedo will read 3mph slow @ 60mph.

Guy isn't sure what the offset is so i plan on going out this weekend and bolting them up to see if they fit.

Just wondering if anyone as done this before... everyone on the fourms talk about running 18" rims

Will ride really rough. It might look pretty "ricer" also, depending on what the rim looks like. Offset on most of the C70, S60 rims is 43mm.

 

Read of only a few with 20's, exexpat had a set of Porsche technics(not certain i'm naming them correctly) on his vert. Lookedlike he was running rubberbands. I say buyem and tryem.

 

i have 19 x 8.5 on my C70 and it's lowered 1.5" the ride is rough if you have cheap tires! i had cheapos on and the balance was never right and they were hard. i just put some michelin pilots on from a porsche 235/35/19 and the whole car drives so much better!

i wanted 20" wheels and i wish i would have gone with them since the tires are cheaper and easier to find.
