hi all, i recently bought a 2000 c70 and was told it needed a camshaft position sensor, i have one ordered and can see no problem fitting it, my question is does the check engine symbol go out when fitted or do i have to get it reset, thanks in advance.

 

It should go out on it's own after a little while. You can get the codes reset at most auto parts stores for free though. Otherwise, disconnect the battery for a few minutes (maybe 10 or so) and reconnect, codes should be gone.
