Default 2000 C70 Heater Core

I am trying to replace the heater core in my C70. I have taken the glove box interior and the lower panel off to expose the fan assembly. I see the fanassembly and a white plastic encasement. It the heater core in the encasement (and how do I get to it)or am I looking in the wrong area. Any help on this matter would be helpfull. Thanks KB.

You are looking in the wrong place it is like right behind the radio. You will need to work from both sides.
It will be the lower portion where the drain hose comes out that you will need to remove.

No once you have the lower dash panels from both side look behind the dash for the drain.
Then there is a cover that goes to the bottom of the climate box. There is 4 screws holding the bottom section on. You will also have to remove the pipes from the bottom section it is on the drivers side.
It might be easier to remove the gas pedal.
once the 4 screws are out of the lower panel and the pipes are out(make sure when pulling the pipes out you have rags under to catch the coolant that will leak out)(Also pinch off the lines under the hood)
Then you will turn the bottom section towards the back of the car and slide it out.

Tech,

I found it... I do not have the core yet to complete the job. I will order one online. However how dose thefluid hoses diconnect from the core? Is it accessable once I remove the bottom cover plate. Thanks again for your help.

There is a screw that goes through the cover to the metal lines it is a T-25 screw. It goes from front to back. Meaning you see if from the front of the cover. Like between the 2 humps.

No problem.
If you go into the post I made about the evaperator replacement and look at some of the pics of the dash out you might be able to see some of the screws just for a heads up before getting in there.
The post is in the 850 section.
