Trying to replace the worn shifter **** on the 2000 C70 manual, can't seem to get the old one off, neither could I find instructions specific to this model. Anyone with instructions or any hints? I got the boot pulled up but unable to remove the **** itself. Thank you!

 

I knew soon as I would ask this question I would figure it out too.

If anyone needs it here are the instructions: pry off the boot from the **** with a flat screw driver, that exposes the base of the ****, couple of clamps holding the **** to the shaft, pry just one up and the **** will pop off.
