I am new to the Volvo Family and this Forum. I purchased a 2001 C70 Convertible with 85K miles. The car sat under a carport and has not ran for 8 years, minor front end damage. I put new battery in, had a key made and diverted the fuel filter to drain in a bucket. I was hoping fuel pump would drain gas tank. (checked all fuses-good) However, fuel pump will not turn on, fuel pump will not prime. My question is: Does anyone know if there is a Inertia/emergency fuel cutoff switch as the vehicle has front end damage? As I am quick to find out, Volvo is not supportive to the DIY mechanic. Service information is EXTREMELY limited. Volvo's answer to any tech questions is "bring it to the dealership and we will get it running". I purchased the car for $500-blue book value $2400. Given the circumstances, taking it to the Dealership is obviously not an option. Any educated advice to this and supplemental information would greatly be appreciated. Can't wait to get her running, without getting upside down.
