Default 2001 C70 Convertible speedometer not working

Hello, I just bought a 2001 C70. The battery was dead, but after jumping it, it ran home great. The car had really been taken care of, the body and top is in excellent condition. The speedometer however is not working. The ABS light is not on, but it does not come on when I turn the key either. I took the car out and slammed on the brakes, the ABS system appears to be working. I checked the fuses, all are good. Is my problem a wheel speed sensor or the ABS senors that I have read about. Everything else on the dash works except the on dash computer. I can scroll back and forth but there are just dashes. I would like to have an idea before I just go and start looking. Thanks!!

Smile Wheel sensors

On my 98 coupe I puled each front wheel and checked the speed sensor. Easy to replace. If you have the 2 brain boxes like I have passenger side, near fender, I have 2.3 turbo, remove them and reseat them. Good luck, I will follow this to see if E6 responds, he is the best!

Thanks for the reply. What would I look for on the Speed Sensor? Pull them out and clean them up or replace them? I will try the brain boxes and let you know what happens. Thanks

Smile Speed sensors

The mounts go bad and the sensor, I would replace. They come with the wiring and everything else attached. Easy removal/installation.

Thanks, I pulled out the sensors tonight, didn't see any cuts or anything on them, one had a lot of brake dust on it. I cleaned them off and put them back, still the same no speedometer. I order two new ones and try replacing them. Thanks
