I just joined the forum. My mother has a 2008 C70. It is a great car and really is fun to drive. She keeps running into little problems that just don't seem to make any sense at all.

The most annoying one to me is that lately the doors do not lock. I know that if the key is in your pocket, the doors will always open, whether they are locked or not, but that is not my problem.

I opened her door to use the garage door opener to enter the house and was actually surprised the door was unlocked. I opened the garage then pushed the lock button on the door. They locked and immediately unlocked (before I got the chance to close the door). This happened as many times as I pushed the button until I went and got the key fob to lock it.

There was also a similar issue one night where I noticed an orange light that would not go off coming from inside the interior, maybe from the door. I may have used the key fob to get rid of the light.

You can see it is kind of a safety risk, having doors that won't lock and access to the garage door opener.

Does anyone know what the problem may be?

...I should add that I believe both keys are inside the house, so it should not be a case of the key being in the car so it won't lock you out.
