Default '98 C70 HPT - Traction Control+ABS issues

So my C70's traction control and ABS have never worked. Got it for $1500 bucks 2 years ago and have put 20K miles on it (right now at 298K miles). My brother had it most of the time in FL and so did not really need tracs/ABS.

Spent $2k on fixing it and other than the whistling drivers side door seal. Its $380 part at the dealership. No thank you.

Ever since I have bought it, the tracs/ABS light (assuming there is one) has never come on the dash when turning the key. Pressing that button on the dash does not really do anything.

Now that hes going to move up to MI in a month, I was planning on fixing it. Any suggestions how to go about this? I am guessing the unit does not work. Where is it located? And how to get to the light on the cluster?

Thanks.

sounds like PO took ABS light out of dash or bulb burned out. mine had the SRS light taken out since they did not want to clear codes.

ABS modules go bad on these get it rebuilt.

Hey guys! I had a similar problem with my 1999 C70 convertible. From time to time the ABS, traction control, sometimes also the check engine lights showed up on my dashboard and just after that the speedometer dropped down to zero (0). At long last, today I managed to do something about that. It may not be the greatest solution, but temporary it's fine. Not only by me, but by many others was it useful too, as I saw on other forums. However, here's the article that helped me solve this problem. I hope it works by you too. May the force be with you all! (:
