a friend has a 2007 Volvo C70 hardtop convertible. he claims Park,reverse,neutral,and drive work fine but Manual shifting does not work. he says the little light on the shifter should light when in manual but the d light stays on and it also should say M on instrument panel and does not change from D, somebody told him it might be the shifter blind which could be broken ?

any help appreciated.
i know absolutely zero about this model !

 

shifter blind it was. replaced all good.
