I knew this would eventually happen. My kids have been getting into to my 2000 C70 conv back seat an awful lot on the passenger side (with the great summer weather) and it no longer will work when we pull the lever up on the side of the seat to lean it forward. The strap on the bottom in back doesn't work either. I'm guessing its from over usage. I should mention the the seat works fine using the electronic controls on the side.

Any tips, hints, clues would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

It won't fold foward?

 

could be 2 seperate issues... If the seat back "does not folds at all" it could be the cable will stretch inside the strap (at lower seat back) that fold the seat back down.... the lever on side of seat connected together also... if seat back "can folds manually" ... when u push the lever up (on the side of the seat) will it return to original positions? if not it can be the microswitch spring came loose.
