C70 2007 CRU replacement (roof computer unit)
Hi there,
I need to replace the roof control unit of my Volvo 2007 2.4i but I am confused with all the parts numbers. The mechanic told me to get any of the MKII (2006-2010) and don't worry too much about the part numbers (he tried his one which is a newer model and it worked all right but he forgot to write down the numbers). However most sellers of the unit says it has to match the part number for the roof control to work!
The numbers on my one are: 31252663 EHGXA 07W25 HW 12.0 SW 12.2.0 etc. (why so many numbers?) . I bought one with the exact numbers and didn't work (computer message was it needs calibrating). Mechanic tried his own one from his C70 and all good without calibrating!
Do you guys know if I can use any part number as long as it is the same MKII version? the roof is the same for all models, isn't it?
