those interested in reducing squeaks or water/wind leaks as well as just preserving your top, consider getting the einszett gummi pflege stift - $8 bottle on amazon will work for multiple cars and comes with its own sponge applicator.

found it after doing a search on maintaining the c70 top. volvo sells a seal lubricant as well but apparently it's like $90. the pivot points on my 08 c70 are still well greased so I didn't add any (no yet sure what type of grease to use). but I did clean/lube the seals and the top is definitely quieter now. very happy. used it on the other cars in the family as well.
