Default C70 T5 Misfire

Hi, I'm new to this club and Volvo ownership but I need help
I just bought a Volvo c70 t5 GT 1999 with171000miles on the clock and the first 100miles were OK .
But I now have a misfire just of idle and lack of power , the engine warning light came on so I disconnected the battery to clear the warning light and run the car again the warning light stays off but I still have lack of power and more importantly the misfire.
I connected a code reader and there are no active faults or stored faults.
I removed and checked all spark plugs and regapped all the plugs look new.
Air filter looks new and all turbo pipes all look OK.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Scott

Default Misfire

You need a different code reader. Most auto parts stores will read the codes for free.

could be the coil or the connector. Easy test is to swap cylinder 2's coil with say 3 or 4 and see if the misfire moves to another cylinder. It could also be your fuel trim is slightly off (ie vacuum leak or intake tubing leak/dirty MAF/IACV/throttle body) but leave that for after swapping coils.

Default Misfire

Hi, swapped number 2 coil with number 1 and now the misfire is number 1cylinder.
Will fit a new one tomorrow hopefully that will cure the misfire.
I will let you know if it is cured.
Thanks
Scott
