California and Back
I have a 2002 Volvo HT C70 with 46,00 miles. I am due for service at 48,500 miles. I have been religious about regular maintenance with my Volvo dealer. I plan to take a 6,000 mile 80 hour trip to California and back to Maryland to see my son, daughter-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren. Should I get an early regular service from my local dealer or find a Volvo dealer on my trip when I hit 48,500 miles. What problems should I expect. I hope to drive 12 hours a day and make California in 3 1/2 days. Any general recommendations for a trip of this length?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

You might as well get it serviced before you take your trip IMO since you pay that much attention to maintenence schedules... it's only 2k away.
At minimum, I would change oil and filter before embarking on a 6k mile journey. Check your tire pressure and air filter as well.
