Default Car wont start PLEASE HELP!!!!

It all started when i messed with my wastegate and while i was driving i felt a kick like the car was going to turn off so i immediately turned the wastegate back to the original setting. 2 days later while driving my check engine light turns on and the problem started there.A couple of hours later i tried turning on my car and it wouldnt fire up the first time so i let go and tried again and it fired. i took my car to volvo and they plug in the obd2 and they told me it is the accelerometer senser. i was planning on changing it until the 4 days later the check engine light turn off by itslef. i figured that the computer ajusted the problem and it turned off. Last night i parked in the garage and i tryed turning it on but no luck . i tried for like ten minutes on and off to see if it will finally fire up but no luck. All the power in the car works fine and the started sounds fine also so can someone tell me what the problem could be. im taking it to my personal mechanic and i want to give him a heads up on what i think is going on. Any response would be appreciated. Thanx

ps. i dont have the check engine code.
