Help!!!!

Finally after solving my ABS module problem and some wonderful top down days I have a new issue.

My top will not completly go back up. It goes through everything except for the back window. I stops there and no further. I used the tool provided to manually crank it down but it will not lock down. The little holes that are normally open are closed and it seems to be blocking the latch. And of course it is raining. It is now parked in my neighbors garage.
I know that the previous owner had the same problem but it was fixed prior to me buying it.

The last time I took it to the dealership I asked for a service history on the car and I was told no!!!!! that it was volvo policy to not give out a car service history from a previous owner.

I need to get this fixed. any ideas?

 

Sounds like it needs to be recalibrated.

 

thanks for the reply. what exactly does that mean? will I need to go to special kind of mechanic?

 

There is alot of sensors in the arms and top hinges. If one of the sensors is reading off it will mess it all up.

You will need to find someone that is able to calibrate it.There is a special hand held tool to do it or the Volvo program.
