The hard top on my 2012 c70 started acting funny and then there was no sound at all in the motor. Could water around the hydraulic motor have caused it to fail? When I removed the liner in the trunk I noticed I could see the ground below through the screw hole! During a big rainstorm last week I went through a large puddle of water on the freeway.

Please advise because no one wants to even look at my car.
