RE: Engine smoking, and claping noise under the hood
so yeah, I took out the old engine, the hard part was separating it from transmission. but got it out safely.. So i got the other engine with 87k on it, so what kind of service would be best to do before I put it in? (except the timing belt and alternator belt) I m changing those for sure.

I put in the engine. And tried driving it, so I pressed little gas and ABS light came on.. what I do now? And for some reason when I try to idle on Parking gear, the rpm wont go farther than like 4.5 k.... weird. and one more thing, when I start the car "service" light comes on, than dissapears after like 5 mins, I checked and there is no diagnostic codes...:s ??

For the ABS did you forget to connect something for one of the front sensors?
In park the rev limiter might be whats not letting it go past 4.5K
The service light is a reminder light for an oil change.Sorry I forget what year yours is if it is a 98 you need a special tool to reset it. If it is a 99 look around the forum for the reset instructions.

its 2001.. and you know there are two tubes that take cooling fluid inside the car from engine. WHat are those for? because one of the came off today (I probably didn't put it in right when was swapping engine.) and I lost all the antifreeze, and I think my engine was running like 30 mins without cooling fluid in the basement, cuz i left it. So how would I secure the tube, or why they go inside the cabin, did I switch them in places accidentally that why they came off? Thanks in advance for help. and BTW why the oil has bubbles in it?

Those hoses feed the heater core so you can have heat.
They just snap in there. Check the plastic clip on the hose. Sometimes they are a pain to get locked properly.
Bubbles in the oil might just be from if you took a short trip and checked it or just ran it for a few minutes then checked it.

How about if I put some silicone around each so it wont come out again while i drive? do you think it hurt my engine if it overheated like this. I didn't drive it, it was just in my garage idling. and I left it for like hour, and when came back the temperature gauge was in middle, but the radiator overheat red light came off on dash board.. and no antifreeze left. the engine starts and works just like before, but just wondering if I have hurt it or not... and BTW when I bought this engine, all 4 cylinder had 160 PSI, and the second one from the driver 5th one, had 150 PSI.. Is it ok? I hope I didn't pay $1k for bad engine.

If the motor didn't overheat bad you will be fine.
That compression is fine.
Silicon won't hold it good. I suggest buying this kit and installing it then see what happens from there.

I don't think the problem is in the yellow plastic clip, or o-rings, I think the problem is with the plug itself, the hole where the hose clips in. Because the good one is different. since there is two. I would say some kind of plastic seal got lost...:S

and BTW.. one question please: Where I can get the windshield cheaper for this 2001 C70 coupe? bcuz the rates are so high here in Washington for those? like 550$ for windshield.. thats crazy, and if I change windshield do I have to replace cabin-air filter, I was trying to look for one online, and there are two different ones: charcoal, and regular.. Which one do I need? Mine looks dirty :-/
