Default Forward rotational sounds in-and-out of gear.

2006 XC 70 117,000

New brakes installed today (80 miles away) Now, rotational sound when car rolls forward with or without power---doesn't happen in reverse. Sounds like it's coming from front and back near wheels

Parking brake adjustment needed?

Would like to have an idea 'what' before I go back to them...or not

This morning the Service Manager said to brake the card hard numerous times at different speeds to basically get the 'sheen' off . He said his repair guys should've done that.

Tried it, but still the same noise.

Default Brake noise

Brake shoes could be dragging on the hub. Remove tire/wheel and spin disc. Sounds like brake job not completed right.

Taking it back today. Thanks so much. They are a Mercedes dealer...you'd think they do things right. Anyway.

Would this scar the drums? Should pads be replaced

Smile Brake noise

Short time dragging shouldn't hurt rotors. Must ensure no sheen on rotors or pads. Light sanding with 80 grit paper should remove the sheen. But this seems like the puck isn't retracting or the pads are not installed correctly. I have done dozens of brake pad replacements on many different cars and trucks.
Love the simplicity of replacing the pads on my C70.
